Frankfort teen charged in thefts of computers from Sauquoit Valley Middle School

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police say a Frankfort teen has been charged in a burglary from the Sauquoit Valley School District.
According to authorities, on Friday, May 27, Patrolman Shane Yoxall of the New Hartford Police Department, while working as a School Resource Officer in the Sauquoit Valley School District, investigated a burglary report that occurred at the Sauquoit Valley Middle School on Sulfur Springs Road in Sauquoit.
It was reported to Officer Yoxall that an unknown white male entered the middle school building after school hours and stole a Dell PC, and an HP Netbook from the school library.
Through investigation a suspect was developed and Officer Yoxall subsequently arrested Korney Sokol, 16, of Frankfort.
Sokol ,who is a high school student in the district,t was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny.
Sokol was arraigned in the Town of Paris Court and was released pending a future court date on June 13 at 4 p.m.
