Authorities are investigating after electronics were stolen from inside a local church -- the third time the church has been targeted since November.
Pastor Frank Tillman Jr. told Channel 11 News that someone broke into the Christian Fellowship-Center Church of God in Christ and stole sound equipment, computers and a generator sometime last week.
Tillman said church officials noticed the crime on Sunday when they found a broken window and tools they believe the burglar used to get inside.
“I’m praying for the thief,” Tillman said. “The one who came in here and walked in God’s holy house and thought it was meant for him to steal something from us to support their habits.”
Tillman said the stolen equipment is worth almost $2,000.
Thieves stole copper piping from the church in November and January.
Anyone with information on the most recent burglary is asked to contact police.
