Computers Stolen From University Of Texas

Updated: Monday, February 17 2014, 05:23 PM CST

A developing story we're following out of the University of Texas. Almost $55,000 worth of computers were stolen from what was supposed to be a safe storage area in UT's Main Building at 110 Inner Campus Drive.

Page after page of stolen computers are listed in a campus police report. A total of 52 Apple MacBook Pros were taken last Thursday or Friday from a secured first floor storage area in the Main Building. Each of the 13-inch computers is valued at almost $1,000. No word on who paid for the computers or whose hands they were supposed to end up in.

The total value of the stolen computers adds up to $55,000. Campus police are not releasing any additional information because they say this is an ongoing investigation. If you know anything about the incident you are asked to call the police. By Bettie Cross
