FLORIDA COMPUTER STOLEN FROM OFFICE OF APARTMENT COMPLEX6 Front Doors Kicked Down In Apt. Complex - Yahoo! News Police in Orlando, Fla., are investigating a rash of violent burglaries at an apartment complex where six front doors were kicked in during the crimes, according to Local 6 News.
Investigator said thieves are stealing televisions, video games and even sofas from homes at the Oakwood Commons apartment complex located on Curry Ford Road.
The front office even had its main computer stolen during the crimes.
Many residents live in fear after the crimes. Local 6 News reported that one woman will not let her young son out of her sight at the complex.
"Oh it freaks me out, Erica Ebersole said. "I sleep with a hammer under my bed because I don't know if anyone is going to come in at any point."
An officer worker thinks the crimes are retaliation for kicking out drug users.
Police said they are ready to get more involved in security at the apartment complex.
