ST. GEORGE - A burglar stole more than 20 computers from the computer lab at Bloomington Hills Elementary School during the weekend.

Sgt. Scott Lemmon, of the St. George Police Department, said the head custodian at the school notified police of the missing computers at about 6:30 a.m. Monday. Lemmon said there is no sign of a forced entry and detectives processed the scene, which included collecting fingerprints on several items."

Lemmon said there are no suspects at this time, but police still are investigating and ruling out people with access to the building during the weekend and their associates. The burglary occurred between Friday and early Monday morning, he said.

At least 20 white Apple Macintosh computers are missing. School officials still are compiling an inventory to determine the number of missing items and their total value.

Police are asking residents to watch for white Apple Macintosh computers with stickers on them indicating they are the property of the Washington County School District or Bloomington Hills Elementary School.

Lemmon said the school did not have any type of video surveillance.

"It would be nice if all the schools were able to be equipped with this type of technology to assist in investigations," he said.
