A Clifton man already jailed on burglary and robbery allegations faces a new set of charges for another break-in, cops allege.
Police say Thomas Davis, 33, was caught on camera stealing five laptop computers from the Staten Island Physician Practice offices at 1050 Clove Rd. in Sunnyside on Aug. 15.
Davis, who was arraigned on grand larceny and possession of stolen property charges yesterday, was already behind bars, charged with another burglary at that same building, as well as a home invasion robbery.
Police say Davis broke into a house down the street from his Vanderbilt Avenue home on Aug. 22, and used a blanket to muffle his screaming neighbor as he stole a box of jewelry.
The next night, a guard spotted him coming out of a rear window at Staten Island Physician Practice, toting a large plaid shopping bag stuffed with stolen computer equipment, police allege. Police confronted Davis as he tried to catch a bus at a nearby stop, then chased him through several backyards and cornered him, police said.
