A Chicago police employee has been charged with stealing a computer that was recovered in a burglary case, authorities said Monday.Catherine Nelson, 42, of Chicago, described as a mail clerk, was charged with one count of felony theft, said Andy Conklin, spokesman for the Cook County state's attorney's office. Her bail was set at $10,000.
Conklin said Nelson was to take the computer from Belmont Area headquarters to the department of police evidence and recovered property.
