Deputies recover laptops believed stolen from Fall River High

Sheriff’s deputies believe they’ve solved at least three burglaries after recovering $40,000 in stolen property Tuesday, including laptop computers missing from Fall River High School in McArthur.

Officers were investigating the weekend theft of laptops and other electronic items from the high school and a break-in at the Bulldog Bite restaurant, both on Walnut Street in McArthur, according to a Tuesday night press release from the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies serving search warrants found 25 laptop computers, military medals and several food items. They believe some of the recovered items came from a burglary in Modoc County.

Sean Devon Rucker, 18, and a 17-year-old male juvenile are under suspicion in the case, according to the press release.

Investigators will send their reports to the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution, the news release states.
