The Friedrich Awaseb Secondary School at Grootfontein in Otjozondjupa region has suffered losses and damages after thieves stole computers valued at 20-thousand dollars, yesterday.
The Principal, Nokokure Hindjou, described the theft as a disruption to the school's academic progress.
Hindjou says the two stolen computers contain all the education records of the school.
The thieves broke into the administration block by cutting the roofing sheets, entered the principal's office and the Secretary, after failing to open the safe.
The school has no security guards, because efforts to recruit some failed after a guard quit the job in fear for his life.
Hindjou has appealed for assistance to the Education Ministry regarding the security at the school to avoid future losses.
The Friedrich Awaseb Secondary School has 720 pupils from Grades Eight to 12 and 22 teachers.
