Authorities on Wednesday pinned two mid-May shoplifting incidents involving booze and computers on two local 24-year-old men.
Police say David Lee Sorick and Nathanial Duane Lucas entered the west Casper Walmart's liquor store on May 18 and left with two 1-liter bottles of Jim Beam bourbon and a 1-liter bottle of Fireball whiskey that they did not pay for. Combined, the three bottles of alcohol were worth $48, according to an arrest affidavit.
The following day, police say, the duo returned to the business and stole two Compaq brand laptop computers valued at $298 each.
Police later secured video surveillance of the alleged thefts. Both of the videos showed Sorick and Lucas leaving Walmart in a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee owned by Lucas, according to the affidavit.
A search warrant later executed on the vehicle turned up two bottles of Jim Beam and one Compaq laptop, authorities say.
Sorick and Lucas are being held at the Natrona County Detention Center.
